Light Bar tail lights

I was browsing this website looking for wheels and i stumbled upon these tail lights. they come in several different variations. i've found a previous thread mentioning them but not any reviews. anyone have any experience with these? quality? installation process?? anything?? And also: i don't want to hear it about how i should just go with oem led tail lights

Probably not what you want hear.....but don't get those! They look like crap and will spread the look of crap to your car! And they're $350. You can get eagle eye or depo led tail lights from khoalty for less and they'll look way better.

That just my opinion though

Gross. For virtually that price you could get new OEM LEDs. One of the best mods I've done to my car.

Yeah, not a fan of the Spyder lights. The bars make them look like late model E90 tail lights. Since you have a coupe, I would follow orb's advice and go with OEM LED tail lights.

It is all personal preference but if I had those Spyder lights I would make sure my sound system was cranked up blasting this.

That light bar tail light you linked looks incredibly tacky. Not a fan at all. The red bar is not appealing, and yellow dots above. It reminds me of the atrocious oem turn signals Honda CBRs had that looked like a lunar landing. Really expensive with too many better options, like oem.

It's your car/choice, but ultimately other than going from amber to OEM clear halogen or from halogen to OEM LED, everything else would be a downgrade. It really is worth it having taillights better than most new cars, and they even hold their own against newer Audis. Best thing you can do to modernize the car and make it safer.

You also have to remember ULO (the OEM supplier) has much deeper pockets and higher standards as far as quality than aftermarket suppliers, partly due to being contracted by BMW. Sure, the Eagle Eyes might look decent on their own, but next to the ULOs, they're utter trash. Everything from the gaskets, diffuser, lens, etc. is better on the OEM.

I think this sums up an idea shared by many enthusiasts. If you don't want to hear about why oem is better, then you weren't really open to members opinion. This company has to stay in business some how though, save the jobs! Haha
