Yeah, it's bright enough to see. It's hard to see it in this pic because it's in direct sunlight, but when it's blinking it's fairly visible. Thanks for your DIY

hey, someone said 04+ sedans don't need baking. With an 02 facelift sedan, baking required or not? That was a major turn off for me after reading the DIY. Especially when I read "be careful not to break the clips!"
if I can just clip the headlight lenses off, I'm in! Great DIY! |

the only headlight that need baking are the facelift coupes. All others don't need to be baked....i think..

to all the noobs in here that keep on asking the same question that was answered in this thread already
if you have a 2004-2006 330Ci or 325Ci, then you need to bake it all other cars don't require baking, so no sedans, no m3s, and no coupes 2003 or before wtf people read |

it's because leo here needs to change the thread title lol. pm a mod and have him change the title to facelifted coupe and put the years (04-06 only) in there.

also, since my headlight removal DIY got delete off it's host site, tell them to include this in your headlight removal link: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthr...44#post9217044

If you have DRL how do you go about wiring these to light up instead of the high beam? Is that possible?
Amazing write up by the way. It is tempting me to do it on mine. |

Also, could you take some pics maybe with both so that we can see how well the blinker works? I was a bit worried about the blinker not reflecting or reflecting into the rest of the light housing because of the missing cover. |

just wire the correct way, its not worth messing something else up..... besides, there is one necessary wire to tap into in the ECU, it is very simple, the rest of the wires go to the power/ground and thats it |

I have absolutely no experience with removing headlights but am about to start this diy.
![]() Do you guys think it's do-able with the minimal experience I have? I mean, I love DIY's, I just put in the new F1 Led interior kit, and have done other DIY's. Thanks for the help! Props to Leo for the DIY. It looks legit. |

just wire it the regular way. then go to the dealer and turn off the DRLs.

How long did the entire process take you? (removing the headlight units, baking, placing halos, and putting everything back together) and also, thru this procedure, it doesnt say whether or not it is connected through the footwells or I can have the button option (or maybe I missed it). How should I wire the halos? Through the footwells or with the button? |
