Got a couple brews to sample over the weekend.
Tried this last night.

It was a good IPA. Not the best I've ever had. But well worth the asking price. I enjoyed it to the last drop.

Tonight I'll be sampling one of Flying Fish's new offerings that celebrate NJ.

A pub near me had this on tap for awhile. Excellent.

The Otter Creek is pretty good. Let us know how the Flying Fish is, I haven't had anything from them before. Though, I must admit, I just can't bring myself to really enjoy a Belgian beer as much as I do an IPA, stout, etc.

Thoroughly enjoying this beer. It's got a slightly cloudy amber color. It's got a great flavor. Subtle yet complex and lasts well after the swig has been consumed. Just like a Belgian should be.

I give it an A.

Drank this today - seriously. It's actually a very good foreign export stout, extremely roasty but not harsh at all. I felt like an investment genius after one pint.

Stopped off at our favorite biercafe yesterday. Enjoyed a Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye . . and since it was their "Bigger, Badder, Blacker!" beer week, I had a glass of draft Deschuttes Abyss - an 11% super dark wood-aged imperial stout. Unlike Goose Island Bourbon County Stout, this was incredibly drinkable - not too sweet - well balanced although incredibly intense. The aroma was almost like a high alcohol chocolate wine - best way to describe it. Tastes of chocolate and licorice. Highly recommended. Supposedly ranked #5 on Beer Advocate's "best beers on the planet" list.

I go to Bear Republic about once a month. I really like their Red Rocket and Racer 5.
