Loved Festina Peche. Amazing how something bitter can be so refreshing and enjoyable.

Yup I picked up their Inferno Ale for the first time so we'll see how it is. Everything else I've had from them has been amazing so I expect nothing less.

Had a mini pick up today!

Bruery release their quad hopped Imp Pilsner today called Run BMC. Excited to try this one!

Bootleggers also released their DIPA today called Knuckle Sandwich.

Wanted to try this porter, heard it was really good!

Got a stout as well. Was really feeling one and they didn't have Ten Fidy so I got this instead. Never had it.

This one just looked refreshing to me.

Last but not least a sizer of Avery Pilsner. Sounded really refreshing and relaxing. Was going to get Prima Pils but opted to try something new!

Cheers!

did it have a black wax seal or the gold wax seal w/ the leather strap?

black = 75% ale + 25% barrel aged, still available (bottle on right)
gold = 100% bourbon barrel aged (bottle on left)

btw you ever drop into Holingshead deli?

not too much, maybe once a month. I moved closer to LA so it's not that close to me anymore. The family seems cool, a bit cooky but it a fun kind of way.

Nice pick ups, guys! I've never had anything from The Bruery, but I've heard they brew some great beers. The 100% oak aged beer sounds delicious.

Was at a block party over the weekend. Met a neighbor that is a bigger beer snob than I am. He broke out some of his stash for the event.

Some of what was consumed that eve:

This stuff was amazing! You could really taste the bourbon and oak. Quite a tasty brew and well worth the price.

I remember this being really good but was a bit drunk so I can't recall any of my tasting notes.

I can agree with you on their cookyness! Very nice family thoguh. The prices there are a bit steep. So when I do go in, i only get a few things. They are also my main stop for Pliny
