Been drinking a lot of this recently...
![]() A buddy had a gathering for IPA fans. Some hits, some misses. The standouts were Alesmith IPA, Stone Sublimely Self Righteous and Cali-Belgique, Four Peaks Hop Knot (for the AZ fanatics), Ballast Point Sculpin IPA, and Oskar Blues G'Night Imperial Red. A pic of the lineup: |

This is pretty cool for no reason except a country club is finally looking at beer like most look at wine. My dad just forwarded this invitation to me from a local country club:

For any of the hop heads out there, you can't go wrong with this.

It seems to be one of those DFH beers you either love or hate, kinda like Festina Peeche. I enjoy it, pretty light beer, easy to have a whole four pack, and I kinda liked how it almost had that champagne body to it. The off flavor might be because it's a gluten free beer and your typical barely isn't used.

If it was me..Noble Rot and Tweason'Ale both just came out last month.. so I'd consider them fairly new. They've only been at the brewpub before that.
Either way, don't think the point of the thread is to argue if a beer is new or not. Rather how delicious it all is : ) Last edited by SpenceJonas; 03-06-2012 at 09:41 PM. |

had some goose island sofie 2011 , pere jacques 2011 , and matilda 2009. i found them on a birthday trip to puerto rico of all places. matilda was great as i had it before and knew what to expect. sofie was perfect for the weather at hand.perfect beer for summer weather as hints of orange were pretty strong but didn't overpower the beer (scent was enough to give this beer a good review). pere jacques was not really what i hoped it would be. aroma intrigued me but it just didn't deliver. then i tried the local piss water there: medalla light. this "beer" makes coors light taste amazing.
