Picked up a big ol' bottle of this rare gem yesterday...

I'll be sampling it this weekend.

FINALLY got to try Pliny. I usually trade wine for beer with the owner of a pub down the street from my house, well he made sure to get me some Pliny after he found out how long I've been trying to track it down. It was VERY crisp, hoppy, and fresh. Over all a refreshing IPA. I loved it. The Blind Pig was REALLY good too. I almost wanna say better than Pliny. But Pliny just has that whole hype/nostalgia around it.

Have you tried Pliny the younger, saw it in a jug like bottle- almost like a growler but with a ceramic cap.

Another cool item they have in their store is this glass: http://www.dogfish.com/store/beer-dr...ture-glass.htm

It's perfect for capturing the aroma in the cup so that you can take a good sniff prior to the swig. It's also got their logo laser etched in the bottom that promotes nucleation. Superior drinking vessel to the Sam Adams signature glass IMO.

Word of advice. Don't buy a Randall jr. It's just a tea strainer which you can find at any store for $5-$10. I've been doing this for years (yes I'm mad).

You can also find aromatic hops online for $5-7 a lb sometimes, perfect for using in this application.

Just saw this post too. I ordered 12 of those for my groomsmen last summer, 8 of them arrived broken . I kept the remaining 4 and one has since chipped :/
