Sound System

I just purchased a 2000 Bmw 328CI w/ 14,700 miles and man am I glad. I got the car for 27000.00.....I had a '89 525i and I drove that thing into the ground. Made the mistake and went to lease a 2000 4Runner. 3 Long years.....3 looooonnnngggg years. Well, I back driving the ulitimate driving machine. Now i need your opinion. I want to upgrade the sound system in my car. Should I go Pioneer or Alpine? Thanks in advance for your comments.

Pics will be up in a couple of days of my Gray beauty.

& just for the record about the alpine subs......i had a customer who's car got broken into. they couldn't get the subs out (alpine type r) because the box was built inside the car. so what did they do? poked holes in them w/ a screwdriver...I know nice huh? anyway, he wanted an excuse to get knew subs but the kid's mom wouldn't sring for them since they still sounded good, so he spent weeks trying to blow them up at full distortion. no such luck. he ended up plugging them into a wall outlet & they played for about 2 mins before they popped. now that, my friend, is a durable speaker..

I have all Alpine except the sub and the amps. I have always gone with Alpine and will have this stereo stuff for sale soon since I'm selling my car.
