Retro fit question

I am in the process of doing a retrofit with my e36 to replace the projectors. I picked up a set of bixenon FX35 projectors that I am mounting in a Depo brand headlight. My question is, if I purchase a D2S HID kit from one of the sponsors, will the kit be plug and play? I know that some companies make an adapter cable to convert the plugs of a D2S setup for when you use an aftermarket HID kit with OEM bulbs. If I plan on using an aftermarket HID kit, do I need to buy these adapter cables?

hopefully you got the clear versions, as the frosted and semi-frosted ones suck lol.

i don't get what you mean by plug n play. according to what? the car or the projectors? when you buy a D2S kit from anyone. they will give you a D2S bulb with a D2S connector with Amp connectors (the 2 plugs at the end) to plug into the ballast. so they will fit into any D2R/D2S projectors, and any D2S/D2R bulb will work for that matter. as for the car, the plug from the ballast should be a standard 9006, which you can plug the cars H7 plug into without splicing anything. they also give you an extension for such cases in which you do need to.
