New brakes and rotors....yes I've searched

So, I've decided to go with the stock OEM set-up as I dont wanna sacrifice any bite

I'm just trying to figure out the best place to get the OEM set-up other than the dealer....are the stock rotors Zimmerman or Brembo?

If anyone knows of a place I can get a deal on this, your input is greatly appreciated!!!!

If you want to maintain that initial bite, stick with OEM pads.

...am I missing something, or does Turner not have the rear OEM rotors for the 05 ZHP?

http://www.turnermotorsport.com/html...&subcat_id=121

Also, is there a better choice between Zimmerman or Brembo? Any sponsors or dealers have a package deal for the OEM stuff, or should I piece meal it together?

Check our E46Fanatics specials section under SPECIALS on our site @ www.getbmwparts.com . We do have front/rear complete brake kits on there that include free ground shipping within the US. You won't find a better deal for OEM brakes with a BMW warranty.

Umm... if you want to avoid warping another set of rotors, I recomment you upgrade to a drilled or slotted set of rotors w/ some stock pads to "not sacrifice bite"

I went with the turner slotted rotors and ultimate pads and I'm super impressed. I say a solid 5k for the rotors and axis ultimate pads to fully break in... I really notice a difference in braking performance after the rotors and pads have warmed up.... they grab so amazingly aggresive at higher temps.. night and day over braking when they're cold. I've drilled the breaks from very high speeds and what not... they farrrr superpass the performance of the stock rotors.

Highly recommended... avoid those damn crappy stock rotors!

Hmmmm

I dont think I have any problems with warping right now

I've heard VERY mixed reviews on the ultimate pads, and I dont wanna loose any initial bite in the braking system....I dont know much about brakes, but I've heard the slotted rotors eat through pads quicker?

I've also heard that the Ultimates squuuuuueal a lot, and I definitely dont want that....

So many choices

I'm worried I won't get the right set-up

Seems like you got a damn good deal! I'm looking at prices for the 330, and the set for the rear slotted rotors with pads (no SS lines or Motul) is $305, and for the front its $365!!! Damn, at that price I may as well upgrade to a nicer set-up, or just go OEM, $665 seems a bit much? How'd you get such a great price?

Sooo many damn choices!!!!! Any idea who manufacturers the rotors? Did you get the Hawk Pads?

Who knew brakes could be so damn overwhelming lol

well for my car i think stock brakes are fine and i think for the 330 (i had 330 prior to the roadster) stock brakes are fine for street driving as long as your pads are up to par - HPS is great performance street and you can take your car to the local auto-x and be fine too...

imo UUC has a great deal for OEM performance replacement - tell them to substitute Hawk Ceramic for Hawk HPS

I think the stock brakes are fine too, but some people seem to think the slotted rotors are better? Any thoughts on that? I think Id like to go with slotted as long as they dont wear the pads faster or anything like that.

How do you like the Hawk's compared to the initial bite of OEM? Squeaks at all?

Thanks for the input!
