'Facelift' won't matter, as mine is a facelift too. Only thing that matters is whether you have the SAP with the MAF or not. My '03 330i does (did) not have the SAP with the MAF.

And I'm not real familiar with PA Soft, but I'm pretty sure that it can not do this.

I'd be building them if someone near me would let me do some testing with a DMM & oscilloscope on their MS45 e46 during a cold start.

I'm ~20mi outside of Sacramento if anyone is interested and I'd give them a few free sims once I produced a working design.

Evolve can turn off the SAP- and at least in PA you can pass with up to one sensor listed as not ready. They can do even better with the post cat 02s! But they are expensive. I don't think an SAP delete is worth anything unless your car is a race car, or you've decided to stick two middle fingers up to the polar bears and run no cats whatsoever.

Evolve's website doesnt show the pre-2005 330i as an option? They seem to only tune for the n52 and newer cars, or the e46 m3.

I wish I could do that but I already have 2 monitors "not ready" which is the max you can have in NJ. That's why I'm hoping for an SAP sim.

for now, until the end of the year, CA will have tailpipe sniffer, ODB-II check, visual/safety inspection, etc

next year, CA will join most other states and only do the OBD-II check. there are 7-9 readiness monitors, depending on the car, state, etc. most (or all) of the readiness monitors will have to be "ready" or "set"

for catless headers, secondary o2 injection, etc.....you will have 3-4 readiness monitors "not ready," which means you will fail inspection. there are o2 simulators and mechanical tricks to pass emissions. basically, you just have to trick the ecu into thinking the rear o2 sensors are reading a certain voltage, or in other words, the cat's are in place and doing their job.

by the way, you should really read more and post less. seriously.
