The "What's wrong with your car?" Thread

List your woes. I'll go first.

AC is dead. Never cold, sometimes it will blow hot air, and sometimes nothing at all.
Clutch is about to be dead (but also about to be replaced )
Missing drivers side door lock pin. It just fell out and I couldn't get it to stay
Cracked front kidney, held on by blue tape on the inside.

Thats all I can think of for now, other than the usual bumper scrapes and door dings

-Sunshade slide thingy broken, so sunroof won't open
-Fuel filter needs to be replaced
-Central locking system needs to be repaired

Rear fender dented, and bumper scraped, because I let my ex-GF drive the car

Rear passenger window regulator is broken.

AC was dead, but I replaced the FSR last weekend only for the weather to cool down enough not to need AC.

Sunshade clips broke so I just removed it all together.

Thats all ATM.

Bushings and ball-joints in front suspension. Can't decide whether to go original BMW or aftermarket; the price difference is substantial!

- LCAB needs to be replaced... vibration not too bad yet so...
- Rear passenger window regulator broke... just fixed very recently
- Cold start up squeak
- Rear diff bushing totally shot... thumps getting lounder
- Scratch on rear bumper
- rock chips all over the hood...
- left kidney grills held on by only half the clips, the others broke.

Only had the car for 1 month, but I'd say it's not too bad for an 8 year old car.

outside trim is falling off my rear right door. Rust around the right back tire fender. front two windows barely roll up. My sub rattled all of the screws out of its box so i need to buy a new box.

No dings, and everything works perfectly. There is one small tear in the lower passenger's door seal - anyone got any suggestions about the best kind of glue to use to keep it intact (it's a clean tear about half the radius of the seal).

I was reminded of a couple more.

Passenger side P46 bulb holder piece of plastic is broken... bulb is reasonably sturdy in there tho (hasn't fallen out...)
Drivers side front fender well lining fell out and scraped against my tire at 100+mph, so it has a big 4x5in hole in it. Both fender linings have jerry rigged bolts holding them to my ill-fitting bumper .

Update: My AC has just been repaired and recharged and I have an appointment to get the ding fixed.

But I just remembered that I have a bad ignitor for my headlight FTL. Other than that, all is well.

for whatever reason, the car shudders over 70mph. I think it's the ball joints or control arm on the front passenger side. Also, there is a rattle from the lower speaker area of my passenger coupe door.... when you combine the shuddering with the rattle, driving on the highway is ANNNNOYING.... Even though it's a very faint rattle, it bugs the hell out of me.

oil pan gasket needs replacing, plenty of nicks and scratches on exterior needs touching up or repainting, some small stain on rear leather seat that wont come out, wheel balancing needed for vibrations. this is just from the top of my head, sure there is a lot more.
