mismatched xenons

well, i took my 2002 330i in to get the bulbs changed at the dealer cause i had one phillips and one osram and they were different colors. the dealer switched out both bulbs with phillips bulbs that he took outta other cars on the lot. well the result. looks the same. the one that was blue before is still blue and the one that was white/yellow is still that way. could it be the housing thats causing the difference in color? dont know what to do now cause i have the same brand bulbs in each headlight and they still look way different in color. was considering getting 6000k bulbs but im afraid itll still be the same.

I think someone on here said awhile ago that xenons can be 'worn in' causing the color to change slightly. Maybe the different cars that they were taken from have been 'worn in' different amounts of time. Does this sound rediculous?

i was thinking the same thing too but it just seems kinda weird that the same side that was bluer is still much bluer. im gonna try to break them in as fast as possible to see if they change. this shlt is just pissing me off cause whenever i take my car in i never get results that i expect.

could it be that one of your bulb housing isn't getting enough power?

I have the same problem, the dealer replaced one of my entire headlight assemblies and now one is bluer than the other. The new assembly is more yellow than my older original one. Both have the exact same bulb, so I would assume the lens is slightly different in the new one I have a 2000 328
