yellow oil light after shut off

Hey guys sometimes when I shut my car off the oil lamp comes on in the color yellow. The light never comes on during start up or driving, just when I shut the car off. I checked the oil and everything appeared fine. I did a search and couldn't find anything. Any ideas???

add a half a quart of oil

our cars can burn some oil which unfortunately is normal.......... take a ride to inskip or bmw newport and pick up some extra oil

check your level first before you add.... keep checking until it is up to par

Mine has done that a couple of times. After a little top off it goes away.

You're supposed to check it 5 minutes after letting it get to operating temp and shutting it off, aren't you?

to check your oil, make sure your car is at normal operating temperature -- turn the car off - make sure the car is on even/flat ground - wait one minute and check oil level
