Decent Coilover

I'm thinking of getting a set of decent coilover for my 318i 2002. Unfortunately, I have a limited budget of $1000. Is it possible to get a set of coilover with this kinda budget constraint? All I need is the height adjustability

PSS if you care about height adjustability. if you do not, H&R Cupkit is a matched set that is even cheaper.

Turner is running a special on their kit right now for $1000 on Bimmerforums. Not sure if it's over already, but it's a great set of coils.

PSS would definitely be the way to go. You can also do the KW V1s if you go above that 1k budget a bit.

KWs are excelled for a DD. They're sporty yet civilized. Very OEM like ride. For $1000 I'd have to also suggest the PSS.

Certainly, we are running KW V2s on our 335 and I find it more than smooth enough for daily use.

My vote goes for Suspension Techniques Variant 1 coil-overs. Made by KW, they are the same exact thing as the KW V1, except they are galvanized steel (with a zinc coating) rather than stainless steel like the KW's. Much cheaper, and you can probably get the coil-overs AND THE VERY NECESSARY Rogue Engineering Rear Shock Mounts. That's the set-up I have, and it's wonderful. I can't wait until I have some H-Sport Sway's, and I'll be SET.

thanks for the reply, guys. I'm seriously thinking of getting the Var. 1 by KW cos I think it's still within my budget bracket. I'm considering other brands though.

I also looked at DDM tuning coils..they're pretty cheap compared to the other. I think they go for $750 or something. What do you guys think?

nleksan:
mind sharing how much did you get the kit for?

Def. do rear shock mounts of some kind, when you put the coils in.

Either the Rogue Engineering ones as mentioned above, or the M3 Vert RSM's with Z3 reinforcement plates. I run the latter setup, and its solid
