I drove a 335i coupe yesterday

Yep, i had to satisfy mu curiosity. it was amazing. better than e46 in every way fathomable... really, every way fathomable. i used to be a corvette guy... i have a new favorite car now. now i have to figure out how to get my hands on that new m3.

I would have agreed with you wholeheartedly... right up until the time I drove the 135.

I loved the 335, but my gawd, the one series is a seriously fun car.

Another nod for the 1. If you enjoyed the 335, then you would certainly enjoy the same drivetrain in a lighter nimbler package even more.

I haven't driven the 335i yet, but I drove the 328i as a loaner car while mine was serviced, and I got to drive the 135i convertible, and new M3 at the BMW Ultimate Drive last week at the local dealership. The M3 was an absolute blast to drive, as was expected, but the 135i was the surprise of the day! The 135i almost seemed faster, and all that torque makes it a little tire shredding monster! Of course I would want the M3, but for the money, the 135i was a steal. The only thing I don't like about the new models, are the turn signal switches. BMW didn't need to reinvent the wheel with this one, and should've left it alone. Other than that small complaint, BMW has made nothing but positive changes.

i drive my friends 335i all the time cause i'm basically his personal tech and do all the work on his car so i take it to work alot. its so fun to drive...i might have to end up having one

Agreed. It's a nitpicky point but, when you use one of the newer cars for several days and a few hundred miles, you will see how annoying it is.

i got used to it fast (loaner) - it was coming back to my car it was annoying that it didn't turn off after a quick lane change

I rented a 528 a few weeks ago, and personally, I found that after driving a couple days, it wasn't so bad. Just different, and requires some getting used to.
