325 power

Hey guys, I have my 325ci with about too years now, and engine wise all its got is a Gruppe m (genuine) intake and eisenmann exhaust. I also have a Skyline(my toy) but i was wondering what else could i do to bring up the power in my beemer, I know i'm never going to get it close to the skyline, and i dont want to, the beemer is to well mannered and refined for that sort of power but i do want to make it abit better. any help would be appreciated. Oh ya what is the most BHP anyones got out of a 325

Most people will say the biggest bottleneck for power is the headers, so you could always upgrade those. Also, have you chipped the car? If not, try the Shark Injector - you can find it at TurnerMotorsports.com or I'm sure at a place in the UK. Good Luck!

Thanks for that, do you think the shark is good, hmmm i must have a look, I was always just thinking of slapping on a s/c kit cos theres massive power gains and a gorgeous sound, but their mighty expensive.

supercharger.

otherwise, with the basic bolt ons and a 3.46 diff u should get near 200whp easily.

If you dont want to go fi, then go with headers, ltw flywheel + upgraded clutch, and 3.46 diff. Also get rid of that pos gruppe m intake that has been dyno proven to decrease hp.

Go FI. That don't mean that you gotta boost 10lbs.

Don't euro cars have a more graceful exhaust manifold than our cars? I'm no expert on the gain from headers on a euro BMW but it may not be as much of a difference.

Like simsima said, only 2 options.
1) Supercharger
2) Headers & 3.46diff

Flywheel/clutch is always good to have and required for the supercharger. Everything else and you are wasting your time/money.

auto 325 = don't bother modding the engine. just enjoy ur car, or sell and get a manual 325/330 or an auto 330

Ok, so ye think i should sell my gruppe m? Anyone want a good gruppe m intake? Which would be the best intake so? I dont think Headers would make any diff to a euro car, What difference would a 3.46 diff make?

diff. just changes the gearing, so you will have shorter gears for better pull within each gear.

shifting earlier probably negates most of the quickness gained, but within a said gear, the 3.46 is a great upgrade that you will def. feel.

intakes on these cars do 3 or less horsepower gain (you won't feel it) and are mostly for sound.
