nah, the best 0-60 time for the E46 M3 stock was 4.5 sec's. I think car & driver pulled that off?

Are you sure HPF is doing this? If they are just using the standard AEM traction control, then they can only do it based on slew rate (how quickly the engine revs compared to the vehicle speed).

However, even with the slew rate being less than ideal -- it should handle the bulk of wheelspin/excessive power and let the BMW traction control handle the fine adjustments

Would it not be a better idea to conduct the test on a wide body HPF stg3 for ultimate grip and traction performance.Obviously 345`s will hold much better than 285`s.

Actually on the car tested there is only 265s, going to put 275s on there at the end of the month. I agree with the testing on the widebody but SHHH dont give them any ideas as I am very happy to have it done on my car and perfected for me when I get to drive it at the end of the month .

Does the M3 employ a torque sensing super limited diff or not? Also torque can be limited or manupilated based on two criterias like gear selection and steering position.Thats what the Mazdaspeed3 factory ECU employs it limits boost and torque 1 through 3rd gears depending on steering position/direction ,gear selection and speed.Thats a very sophisticated software though.

I've had no discussion with HPF but I know how traction control works! I think we are talking about the same thing. Vehicle speed can only come from wheel speed sensors.

I just test drove an HPF stage 3 car again on Friday using the new traction control and speed based boost control. JP is still tuning it, but while I was driving an unsuspecting Gixxer 750 came up on me. I'm so used to them getting ahead when we both nail it at the same time. Not this time. I raced him 3 separate times from a 50 mph roll, and he didn't pull not even for a second. He never even got to the front of the car. By the top of 3rd gear I was already over a car length ahead and 4th gear was utter destruction of the bike.

If you've seen the prior videos of stage 3 vs bikes where the bike gets several car lengths ahead. No more.

Chris.
