No FI, just the 427? Does he have any mods on it? Ive heard they typically make <600rwhp but it looks like he has some VERY big tires out back with fender mods.

S65: 4.0 Liter, V8, 414 hp @8,300 rpm, 295 lb/ft @3900 rpm, 445 lb, DOHC, 12:1 C/R, crankshaft 44 lb, wet sump.
2 oil pumps,double vanos variable valve timing, EMS: MSS60, 8 electronically controlled individual throttle butterflies.
4 valves per cylinder, cracked trapezoidal connecting rods, brake energy regeneration. Ion-flow combustion monitoring.

its a 427 fully built top to bottom.

he has 2 nitrous bottles in the trunk but whether they're hooked up or not we don't know

also he's running hoosier slicks out back with some widebody flares.

So yeah at first I thought that the vette was obviously faster after like the first 4 runs, until like you said that you figured out that you'd get more traction in 4th gear. This was probably why you won the last two runs maybe?
