Rear Spoiler installation

I've read some posts awhile back about just using REALLY strong 3M tape to install spoilers. Is this true? Will it hold?

I'd only do that for small spoilers like the OEM M3 Lip Spoiler. The larger, more effective spoilers should be professionally drilled in.

Mine is bolted to the trunk in addition to tape.
