Engine code when AIR pump removed?/o2 simulators?

Hi all. I am planing to do some modifications to my car(2000 323ci) and was wondering if I could remove the air injection pump without throwing a engine code. Also if said code is thrown is there anything I can do to fool the system into thinking that the pump is still installed?.

On a side note. I am also thinking about relocating my catalytic converters. i would however need to relocate my secondary oxygen sensors as well. No big deal what so ever. But is there a company out there that makes O2 sensor simulators? Id rather throw those on for the time being and redo my exhaust the right way come winter.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Why would you remove the pump? It won't harm anything to keep it there.

And how are you going to relocate the cats? They're built into our exhaust manifolds. You mean you plan on getting racing cats and new headers?

Why do you want to remove the air pump?

Relocating the cats is easy, as is extending the o2 sensor wires. You might as well do it right the first time. There is no point in keeping cats at all if you arent going to use them properly.

Come on, you guys.... removing the emissions is the way to performance. You lose like, 1 lb off the front of the car!!!

Someone on here told me you can ship your ECU to ESS Tuning and have them re-flash your ECU to remove "Post-Cat Efficiency" feature. I guess that's the right way. Now if there o2 simulators for sale, I'm Up for it.

Because it will more than likely be more time efficient and easier than relocating it. Im looking to open up as much space on the passenger side as I can. I honestly wouldnt mind keeping it but in the grand scheme of things if I can eliminate a few extra wires and hoses i wouldnt mind doing it.

I will most likely re-locate the cats as opposed to remove them. I just wasnt sure how relocating the cats would effect their efficiency and thus the reading that the post cat sensors recieve.

Super sprint offers straight headers and also downstream pipes with cats.
