My yellow light doesn't come on either. I replaced the sensor, and I was low on oil (dry dipstick) and no warning lights. Engine ran like ****, severe vibration when accelerating and then I started to see smoke coming out of my exhaust and burnt oil smell...

What caused your oil loss? Heh, at least I'm not the only one.
My yellow light comes on at start indicating bad sensor, but I have yet to replace the sensor.
I never had the smoke or burnt oil smell, but there was crap all over my rear bumper afterwards, so I assume that did happen, just not bad enough for me to notice.

Hey now, I'm not bashing the great (drunk) state of Wisconsin! Afterall, I spent many of my best years there.

Just that Minnesota is better!

Put it away for the winter - driving '99 civic for the next few months - I can't wait to source a decent legacy 2.5GT to replace it!!!!

BMW is set to get some new shoes, bushings, brakes (again - ****ers go quick!!), and if I have time before spring I need to see if I am burning oil - keep getting low oil light and low coolant light with some funny smells.

Also - let the forum trolling begin!!!!

Got mine down too. Driving a 98 Saturn..... Ugh. I despise my winter car with such an extreme passion. Now I'm single to, the Saturn was a work car and is not pretty, so I am not looking forward to dates with that piece of sh!t. I find the car close to embarrassing, not from the outside but once you step inside. But it is a nice change of pace to not care about door dings or being overly anal about perfect cleanliness inside.... So my rant is basically saying winter will suck....
