What do you mean by "improving" it- softer ride or more sporty. I don't think the former is possible and the latter requires lowering springs.

well...good luck with that. runnin' a sport suspension and looking for a softer "cloudy" ride doesn't seem possible to me.

anything in particular that your ride is doing that makes you want a softer ride?

I think you're interpreting his post wrong. I don't think he wants to be running a sport suspension. he said he doesn't want it lowered and wants a soft ride.

No no..

I think im just explaining it wrong

I have sport suspension. But the ride is just too rough, when I bought it 20K miles ago, it was pretty good, wasnt too bumpy. Now it feels like every hole I hit, the axle is gonna break off. And I know its not my tires.. only a few thousand miles on them and always aired up to the right pressure.

Oh and i've got 18" CSLs on them so I dont think thats the problem. No cracks or bends.

If you were happy with it when you bought, has your opinion changed or has the car changed? My bet is that your suspension is simply old and tired and needs to be replaced. Just put some new OEM dampers on it and call it good. You'd be amazed how much difference there is between a worn out suspension and a fresh, properly functioning suspension.

I'll second this. You can't really "improve" the ride without lowering it. The only way is to perhaps get a new OEM suspension for your car. Otherwise you will have to go after market and that means lowering springs.

I think you got it. The car has changed. And right, im looking to replace my suspension. So should I go OEM or Aftermarket? I would think aftermarket is a little bit cheaper, and really i wouldnt mind a little drop..

That really depends on what your highest priority is - comfort or looks? You're not likely to get both for less than the cost of replacing OEM shocks and struts. Lowering the car will require either lowering springs or coilovers. What's your driving style?

I would generally recommend sticking with OEM unless you have a very specific goal that can only be achieved via the aftermarket.

People that have purchased the Koni/Eibach spring and shock combo. They have found it to be very comfortable yet sporty. Plus they do not lower your car much, which is something that is very important for you. Here are a couple of shots to show you how much it will drop:

KONI FSD shocks with Eibach Pro-kit springs combo

Let me know if I can help you out with anything.
