My Ride: rubs tires
Offset is where the wheel bolts up in relation to the centre of the wheel. Higher offset wheels bolt up closer to the face of the wheel, and lower offset wheels bolt up closer to the inside of the wheel. It is the number that follows et on wheel measurements. If the wheel is 18x9 et 24, then the wheel bolts up 24mm from the center of the barrel.

offset in a nutshell. is how far off(set) the bolt face of the wheel (the part that meets and bolts to the hub), how far its distanced from the center of the wheel.
hence the term offset...

As for rolling the fenders, pay attention in the hampton roads thread, Brad(Impusled7) has a fender roller, and he and a few others have successfully rolled fenders on their cars with no issue.
Theyre is also a local cat on vadriven that did mine that does it as a side hustle, i think he's prolly done every car brand out there by now. Hes good.

So basically the widths you asked about can fit under an M3 easily, and not be an issue, or they can be aggressive and be a bit more challenging. It all comes down to offset.

Here's mine, just got the car in January. I know it's not uber aggressive, maybe not worthy of this thread.

F: 18x8 - 225/40/18's with 35et (10mm spacers) = 25et
R: 18x9 - 245/35/18 with 35et

Flush enough for all of the shitty Oakland roads... Sorry for the crappy phone pics.

Yep, just remember that theres a wierd felt looking lining behind the quarter panel. Lots of guys don't realize it, and get strange flare at the edge of there lip. Most people flare there quarter panels at least 3 inches out! And still only have a inch of clearance inside because they don't shave the inside. In my opinion, a shaving is a must for the most clearance and the less amount of flare. Anyone who argues that shaving the fender will weaken the panel is doing something wrong lol. I shaved tons of fenders, and flattened it up. Only downside is that it creates so much clearance that the paint kind of starts chipping if not careful. It creates a sharper edge because it's so flat, therefore causing paint chips. I swear I went from my rims literally stuck on my quarter panel with 4 degrees camber to a finger clearance of 4 degrees camber. All I did was shave and a slight small flare and now I got a finger gap between the rim & fender while tucking.

Whats the thinking behind not having center caps? I think it ruins the look.
