my response to page 706.
Gentleman forums are a place for everyone to express how they feel. I bought my M3 new in 06. When you spend 75k on a car. Then keep the car for 6 years, and watch your car slowly fall into a catecory that is closely follwed to fast and furious you would get mad too. I guess i am just one of those old a%% guys that doesn't like the new blood coming up in the BMW world. However i am all about fitment, i live by form over function only because i have had 10+ cars that have had huge HP numbers. my last car had almost 600 HP. that being said i understand that cars are about people. And how you express yourself. But what I cannot stand. Are the punk kids that just bought a 99 323 with 200k miles for $8000 and they feel they know everything about BMW. I just laugh and many E46 owners who legit'ly bought they car and paid the $1000+ monthly car payment. then see what the car turned into. Last time i checked if you want to buy a new M3 with a 800 fico score and 10k down. Your payment with still be 1200 a month. I did that back in 06 and I am tired of these noobs who can finally afford the car open thier month. I understand that I am slowly turning into the grumpy old man of this forum, but then again everyone forum needs a guy like me. At 30+ i still will tell the average 18 year old that his car is not low enough.... see you at the next meet.....<3

^^^I totally agree with what you said, and I haven't even been in the BMW game that long (although I've been into BMW's since I was a kid).

Cell shot for now but what do you guys think so far of the fitment?
Right now I've got a 215/40 and 5mm spacers on the 9.5" rears, but was considering dropping the spacers and swapping in some 225/40s

I wonder how much those X5 wheels go for now that they're so popular in the stance scene... I wouldn't mind picking some up for cheap.

Maybe I'll get more help here, from you guys.
I'm looking to ad a 10mm spacer (5mm if I must) in the rear. Current specs are 9.5 et 35. I'd like to not put narrower tires on or tinker with more camber. I've got enough clearance everywhere except for the dam rear bumper area. What have you guys done about the rear bumper/securing bracket? Here are pictures of the clearance issue. ![]() ![]() ![]() And a few pics to make this post worthy in this thread. ![]()

it looks like it's hitting that little metal tab in the bumper. Do you guys just take that out? I may need to get mine off since that's where mine rubs at times (i think).
and it's gonna be a pita to shave those fenders, looks like it's already been rolled/pulled |
