first time I ever saw anything voltex on an e46 (few posts above) and I gotta say, that "bodykit" or more so splitters look like crap on a regular bumper..

They say the same thing about a lot of forged magnesium bike wheels. Yet they come stock on a few top end Italian bikes, like mine are JWL approved.
A lot of times it's as Stu said, ultimate strength is compromised for lightweight. So they say not for street use to cover their ass I case you hit a pot hole and bend them. They're not liable.

Supposedly the US distributed of blackstone carbon fiber wheels voids all warranty if you use them on the streets.
