Making of the mau5 head. (halloween costume diy)

This is my halloween costume, it was a HUGE hit last night at one of the bars I went too... tonight is the real deal I'm going to a rave with 2000+ and it's going to be amazing.

Anyways, here are some pics of my halloween costume this year... ala deadmau5

Yes that is a rabbit ball haha, the air holes worked out perfectly for numerous things.

Ears are balsa wood (so light and yet so strong), eyes are half a hard styrofoam ball

Installed a hard hat inside to keep it tight to my head while i thrash about wildly... also keeps my eyes at perfect level and is beyond comfy

Put some padding in case I happened to smack a guy/girl by accident, no need to start a brawl over something stupid.

Busted out the sewing skills that I forget I had... wrapping a sphere in felt is impossible

One ear done!

Sphere finally done!

Fitting the ears and the eyes... looking pretty good

All ready to go! Oh one more thing...

Can't forget the flashing strobe LED's!!!

Thanks for checking it out guys, it's unbelievable durable and definitely party ready!

I was pretty far from the stage, but I remember the bunny ears being dark or blacked out or maybe a really dark red.
