Rubbing noise during slow turns???

I'm having this weird problem guys, my car makes a loud rubbing sound anytime I make slow turns. (Parking lots, pulling out of my garage, etc). I thought the tires might be too big but I checked and they're the right size according to BMW. Now when I listen carefully it almost sounds like its coming from the steering column but maybe that's just me. Any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. It runs and drives great but this problem is driving me insane! 2003 325Xi. Thanks!
