Nope, I still have the xi. Might part it out soon though. We'll have to see.

The sig is just a throwback from way back when.

That 72' BMW is awesome!

Got more information on it? Mileage, cost, repairs, etc? I love classic German design.

'72 Bavaria, originally purchased in colorado, sold to a guy in tennessee, then to a guy in georgia then me.

In '93 it received a ground-up restoration (paint/interior) and it got swapped a 3.7 stroked inline 6 out of an e28 535 and 5-spd conversion from Metric Mechanic.

Swapped drivetrain has less than 30k miles on it, but the odometer reads 175,000 and it's running strong. No bad rust under the car, but there are a few spots on the outside that are typical of rusting on these things (pre-galvanized steel FML).

Showroom thread: http://forum.e46fanatics.com/showthread.php?t=880333

Repairs so far have only been replacing the spark plugs, ignition cables, ignition coil, distributor contact/condensor/cap, and repairing the carbs (I want to replace them all together though). The tach doesn't work, the reverse lights don't work, and the driver front turn signal doesn't work. It's a sweet project and I'm not even all that mechanically knowledgable and feel capable to work on this car.
