'01/325i, 124000 miles on original fluid (far as i know). all i wanted to know was whether to change the fluid or not...

I asked my mechanic...who does my big stuff.....if I should do the tran fluid flush....I even showed him an article by Bavarian Auto sport promoting that... (trying to be Preventative concious...w/ 130+ miles)

he said "NO" whith that many miles....new fluid / draing the old...would cause slippage.... there are particles of the pads floating around in the fluid that keep it from slipping now....remove that and put in new fluid= too slippery = slips

he said in the old days.... guys would actually put saw dust in the fluid to keep from slipping...

I got that same news letter and I'm really thinking of doing it when it gets warm....now I'm worried again..should I do it?

Mine slips for 1/2 sec..only when going up hills???? but on straight aways it doesn't...It's been doing that for the last idk...3,000 mi.
