My Car's Progress So Far...

Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd do a progress thread of my car from when I bought it.

This is when I first picked it up back in April 2009.
As Soon as I picked it up, I changed the front a rear control arm bushes to Heavy Duty Urethane ones, replaced the wiper jet motor, and took it for a service right away.

Nothing was done to the car in 2010 except the installation of 4300k HIDs to keep the factory look.

Back in April 2011 I purchased a few parts from ECS Tuning.

BMW Performance Intake

BMW Performance exhaust

Rear LED License plate bulbs

BMW Performance Strut Bar

As of the last month i've added BMW Performance gloss black front grills and some temporary BBS RC wheels (18x8.5 +37 all around).

and hopefully I will be running with these soon...

I have KW V1s with Vorshlag camber plates waiting to be fitted with these wheels once I get tyres sorted. I will update once these are all fitted.

Thanks for looking.

I'm glad we could be part of your build, the car is looking great! I'm loving the BMW Performance goodies! An ECS Big Brake Kit would look great behind those new wheels!

Nice car and mods. I really like the gloss black grilles. Would you mind posting a link as to where you purchased them? Thanks.

LOL trust me... this has been on my mind but I don't have the funds at the moment. You guys have been great and your service is exceptional. I always purchase from you guys when I can.

They are 18 x 8.5 +15 up front and 18 x 10 +20 in the rear.
I just fitted front coilovers and camber plates last night and cannot believe how good the ride quality is!

I'm getting tyres for the wheels today but I'm worried about rubbing the rear guards as I'm going with 235's to start with. I'll have more photos soon.

Thanks, it took me a while to replace the grille because i wasn't sure where to find glossy ones. I'm not a fan of the matt, also I don't like the facelift grilles with the crease on each outside corner.

I got them from schmiedmann, they have all styles. Link is below:

http://www.schmiedmann.com/3_series/...e45.htm#paging

you might need to go back a page or so to find the correct ones for your M3.

Thanks for the compliments, I'm trying to make sure i don't do too much to spoil the clean simple look of the car.

great job! new wheels go perfect with the car, nice and simple

side note: whenever I see mtech 2 coupe sideskirts it makes me wish I had gotten them for my sedan instead of the mtech sedan skirts
