I would love to see the DIY as well... Very interested to see how you do it. Definitely get some pictures up when you can!

It was not until some time after my comments that the OP mentioned he was going to have a friend, who is a body shop professional, help him with the work.
So you're saying someone 18 years old wouldn't be worthy of doing this project on his own? I don't know how you can be so negative and tell the guy not to do it when you don't even know him!

i was saying that it's not something I would suggest doing it unless rather qualified... metal fabrication is quite the process man.. i love how you even use the term "worthy" which is a very emotional term. What is with you guys and trying to provoke stuff lately. All I said was that I wouldn't suggest doing it as an overnight "driveway" project and would make sure he knows what he's getting into.. not a easy process to just reverse if you don't like the outcome... I think that was a rather "helpful" post

I'm not taking things personally, it's just the negativity that your portray and the generalizations you make.

DIY ftw... I cant imagine it being very hard. Best of luck--time consuming sure, but not hard

cant wait to see the result.

DO IT MAN!!! DIY FTW!!

Word of warning though: if you want it to look good don't OVERdo it. Most boser hoods are TOO much. If you don't go over the top with it, hiding 50% of your headlights, it can look great!

although it is possible to weld aluminum.. its a lot easier to fiberglass the boser look.

mig is a b1tch to weld with aluminum.. well thats what my uncle said.. just a lot easier and FG wouldnt be bad for something that doeesnt get scraped by the ground like a bumper
