i was saying that it's not something I would suggest doing it unless rather qualified... metal fabrication is quite the process man.. i love how you even use the term "worthy" which is a very emotional term. What is with you guys and trying to provoke stuff lately. All I said was that I wouldn't suggest doing it as an overnight "driveway" project and would make sure he knows what he's getting into.. not a easy process to just reverse if you don't like the outcome... I think that was a rather "helpful" post

DO IT MAN!!! DIY FTW!! Word of warning though: if you want it to look good don't OVERdo it. Most boser hoods are TOO much. If you don't go over the top with it, hiding 50% of your headlights, it can look great! Bart |

although it is possible to weld aluminum.. its a lot easier to fiberglass the boser look.
mig is a b1tch to weld with aluminum.. well thats what my uncle said.. just a lot easier and FG wouldnt be bad for something that doeesnt get scraped by the ground like a bumper

crazy...lol. I prefer working with aluminum over FG.
MIG isnt too bad TIG is more common anyways for Aluminum

trutfully i totally forgot about mig and tig cole. haha i tried to think back to my welding class in HS and i was thinkin you couldnt weld aluminum. then i typed it and was like waaaait. lol
