Awesome date tonight

Just got back from an awesome date. Went into it with absolutely no expectations, it was more or less a blind date. We had talked by e-mail a couple of times but that was it.

We were supposed to meet for dinner at 5 PM, and she said she was only free from 5 PM - 6:30 PM because she's dogsitting. I even offered her a ride to the restaurant but she declined. She's playing it safe in case it sucks, and I respect that. Well, we meet up at 5 PM sharp, and she's absolutely gorgeous . Then we start into a great conversation, amazing rapport. It's 10 PM before she looks at her watch and says she was supposed to be home hours ago to look after the dog.

I figured that's the end of the date, but then she asks if I drove, and sure enough I did so I offer her a ride. We get to her place, and she invites me up to walk the dog with her. We do that, and afterwards we chill on her couch talking until 2 AM. The signs of course are right in my face...she keeps moving her hair from side to side, touching my hand or leg for no real reason, and moving closer and closer to me on the couch.

I know that was my chance to make a move, but this one is something special, so I didn't. We exchanged numbers and she made me promise to call her by Monday to see how a job interview went (she's getting her MA in a few months).

To say the least.......

This is the first girl I've been really excited about since my failed relationship over a year ago (threads are on here). It almost seemed that way once before, but the girl was altogether trouble. This is a big deal to me, the first time I've felt this great about somebody new that might actually work out. Crazy that it took this long, but I guess hope is out there

Tease her about her BS dog sitting thing. 1.5 hrs for a date? LOL at her and tease her.

Then tell her she is not allowed to watch your dog as she was not doing her duty for 3.5 hrs!

Hahah! I texted her a few hours ago just to say I had a great time last night and that I'd call her on Monday, but I didn't get any text back. Just about to get ready to leave here and meet some friends in DC when she calls, turns out she had been in the library, and we talked for over an hour about nothing until I said I needed to leave. Dayum, I feel like I'm 17, this is badass. To think of all those girls I've dated over the last year I felt absolutely nothing for, no spark. I was literally scared it would never happen again, disillusioned.

Anybody in the DC Metro area, drinks on me!

glad you had fun but one thing that bugs me about what you said is that you said she is "something special", I totally understand your excitement but if she was already hinting at you to make a move on her for a sexy time on the couch then in MY book, thats not a special girl. just giving you a heads up cuz girls are sneaky cheating *****s so becareful what you fall for these days.
