Question **Sport steering wheel install?**

I have the stock nonsport steering wheel, without the buttons on it as well. I am thinking of installing the sport steering wheel. Does the car come prewired for the buttons on the sport steering wheel, or is that just a function that will not work once I put the wheel on. Also do I have to put an airbag in the wheel, or can I leave it hollow in the middle with just the cover on top, so that you cannot tell. Is the install fairly easy? thanx

I doubt you're gonna be able to do it...

there are many issues including the airbag. You cannot leave the airbag off...besides...why would you want to? That airbag could save your life some day.

Yes, I installed my E46 M3 steering wheel myself...

took about 25 mins...however, my car came with a 3-spoke sport steering wheel and I used the original airbag. The sport steering wheel is a direct swap for my car but not the case on sedans without the 2001+ sport package steering wheel.

Is there anyway to make the airbag light go off if you install steering wheel without one?
