So little meat for the effort, but it is fun to do a boil every few years.

Same with typical snowcrab portions, i'm like...so where's the main course? I can still do some damage at all you can eat crab places but I don't want to have the other table-mates wait for me to get full. Once I get into the fugue state of cracking and eating, time flies lol.

sounds good... however, scratch the truffles. way too much going on in that dish with some pretty assertive flavors, takes away from such an expensive ingredent..... especially with the olives, arugula, and parmesan

next time... enjoy the truffles alone with ingredients that are simple and rather delicate that way they don't over power them.

haha sorry if i'm coming across like an ass... its like mixing caviar in with a frutti di mare... something like that should stand alone, or stand with something that will showcase it rather than cover it up

Lol not taken like that at all.... I should say it was a very small amount of truffle to give hints of its textur(oil also for truffle flavor). If I had a good truffle nug I would makebsome fresh pasty and just shave it over lol. But you are right. While it was delicious... it was a ko punch of umami and I was done after a couple slices. Was a fun lil exploration project. I did a mustard rubbed rabbit that was awesome the other day

I have a bunch of stuff come down the line and a bunch of stuff that I've made.

I just bought a house so the last few months have been hectic to say the least, things are settling down and spring is upon us so I will pick it up again.

Fisch330ciTopasBlau, you must spend more eating out than anyone on the forums, do you ever eat at home?

haha yeah, but since I really only eat one meal a day, I tend to go out or get takeout 75% of the time.
