Question Dash: Rear light bulb warning?

Recently, it seems that whenever I turn on my headlights, after about 5-20 minutes, the two red lights go on on the dashboard. They are the "tail-light" ones, and they both go on at the same time. They then mysteriously dissappear in 1-5 minutes.

I have installed PlatinumVision in my read blinkers...but i don't know what set of lights the dash lights are referring to.

Does anyone konw what this could be about?

Well, it was pretty hard to get them in in the first place...I had to like put one side in first, and then spin it around to get the other one in. Guess I'll just mess aorund with it some more.

Update:

Now whenever I start my car, the lights go on. I put my emergency flashers on, went outside my car, and both of the blinker lights were flashing...

I even took out the harness thing, and wiggled the bulbs around some. Anyone konw what the heck is wrong?

mine does the same thing, the bulbs are in tight and both work, yet the dash lights stay on, getting pissed with my car, alot of electrical stuff is messing up as well as alot of other things that shouldnt be messing up that the dealership claims are normal and cant fix....if things keep following this trend i will be selling the 330ci soon and getting a sl55 amg

Anyone else have any idea how to fix this? I mean, if the bulbs light up, then they are obviously getting power...so what would cause the warning lights to go on?

TX330ci - Wow, going from a 330ci to an sl55...more power to ya

I have the EXACT same problem, except its for my front signal. I haven't bothered to take it to the dealer yet, would like to know if there's anything i can do at home to fix this ( too busy to drop off car at dealer right now)
