Some people really need to throw junk away instead of selling it

I sold something like $2000.00 + worth of junk lying around the house. It really does all add up.

I essentially took junk lying around and turned it into a new LED TV and ipad. Some items I sold for as low as $10.

It really all does add up.

I need someone to come sell all my junk for me. I'll give them 10% of the profits.

It's funny I recently fixed two laptops for a friend that had like 20 or 40 GB HDDs with some old school connection that needed to be replaced. I payed like $40 for each one of them on ebay, they were not even new since they stopped making them. For that kind of money you could get a modern 500GB HDD.

I remember when the Macintosh SE 40 came out. Its main selling feature was its massive 40-megabyte hard drive. Endless storage!

Yeah, I've been doing the same thing.

I just met some dude from CL tonight who paid me $10 for an iPad case I had lying around. It paid for my dinner, so it all worked out.

Time is money thought

I am sure I can sell an old sock for 5cents but not worth the hassle

I usually never have people come to my house. I'm actually surprised that you do. You've never had an issue?

I have a bunch of junk that needs to be sold, but it's so crappy I feel bad selling it even though someone would want it.

I rarely sell to completely random people (..it's usually people from Fanatics or bike forums, etc.; people that I've spoken to quite a bit online, met at meets, canyon rides, the track, etc.), but when I do, I usually meet them somewhere. Sometimes people have to come pick up large items though, but I don't worry too much. I'm a big guy.......and I have my gun!

After people coming to your house, and see what you have they come back and rob you, or rob you at the first interaction. A neighbor who lives a few houses down to my parents was actually robbed by someone after meeting them on craiglist to sell them something.

There are likely a number of factors that led to that robbery, but I won't speculate. If you're selling a big ticket item, you take precautions.
