Oxygen Sensor Adaptation Limit

Peake Tool, Table 19, E3 and E4
"Oxygen sensor adaptation limit, Cyl #1-3" and "#4-6"

Is this referring to post-cat or pre-cat? Also, I just changed all 4 oxygen sensors this past summer. Could it be something else?? TIA.

Went thru EXACT same experience.

From research and my own experience, I can almost guarantee you it's vacuum leak. Check DISA (adjuster) valve, and intake elbows and various hoses.

While you are at it, you can try the usual maint. items such as cleaning the MAF and chaning the fuel filter.

Good Luck.

I had the same codes and found I had a crack in the lower intake boot past the MAF . It has a small additional hose out the side of the boot that looks like an accordion this is a common area for cracks.

-_- im having problems too. it looks like its starting to affect my mpg too. i dropped from 20 city to 17 city... highway is still in the 30s tho.

i dont have access to a peake tool but generic scan always gives me precat 02 sensors(which i changed) and maf sensor 101 code(which i also changed).

i read somewhere recently that a lot of the time its just the dme receiving wrong impulses from the sensors. a reflash would cure the error codes.

what i heard is that it is because the O2 sensors are bad, i got that conclusion from a tech. and i have to change them out, im going to clean the maf sensor as well... my mpg dropped crazy as well... after doing all that im a do a tune up and clean the throttle body and hope that will help

I get the same codes from time to time. I've replaced all the intake hoses. I think it may be a small leak somewhere. I can live with the CEL for now because I don't wanna pay a shop to do a leak test

I concur. Follow the above recommendation. It is MAF or cracked intake boot.

My car had the same code with SES, won't pass smog check.
Replace pre-cat O2 sensor.
Problem solved.

The pre-cat O2 sensors are easy to change out. The post-cat O2 sensors suck!

I'm sure there is a DIY on this somewhere. Let me know if you need a link!

Could be your idler control assembly that has a leak in it.
Mine did... and it threw off all kinds of codes including the one your mentioning.

I also replaced my intake boot for no reason assuming it was that but my OEM intake boot was clean and no cracks.
