Orion V2 angel eyes and remote DIY pics
I installed my angel eyes the other day and decided to also do the remote diy (so they come on as you unlock your car) The video was sot of vague so I took some pics incase anyone is interested in doing this....
* First find the rubber piece that is plugging the hole and thread the wire through until there isn't much slack left. ![]() ![]() * Then take the light under your glovebox out and pull the angel eye wire through. (Do not unscrew and remove the entire glovebox like some have said) ![]() *Then push the black fabric protecting the wire back and use your extra blue wire tap included with the Orion v2 angel eyes and tap the red/blue striped wire (not the brownish grey one haha) Plug the wire into the tap and you should have the remote feature on your angel eyes when you unlock your car.....![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I'm having the csl add on trunk spoiler removed tomorrow and possibly molded or I might just go for a different look and get an acs 1 piece spoiler or m3 lip...I haven't decided yet.

just did this mod today, installed the AE over the weekend. I dont know how you did this without dropping the glove box, the grommet into the engine is not directly near the light (at least in my car) but even so 6 screws and the glove box drops out and there is much more room to work. Cool feature

In my car you just had to take the light out and the wire went directly through (no glovebox removal needed)
maybe they're different but you wouldn't think so....

^ in mine the grommet through from the drug bin is behind where the glove box is located, so once the wire is fed through, it goes into where all the ecu wiring and stuff is located a few inches away from the courtesy light in the foot well, so there is no way I could have run the wire from the grommet to the light blind, I had to remove the glove box to run it. Either way nice write up, it got me to do this mod, I had originally just tapped off the wire, but the write up seemed so easy I said why not.

So, in this case the angle eyes will go off and on any time the light beneath the glove box goes on and off or what?
Is there any need then to attach the angel eye trigger cable to the red/white power cable/wire in the power box on the driver side? I guess I am confused!! Quote:

Do you still need to put the rubber seal back in the hole?

woah major bump. I don't think it really matters, but you might want to just to be safe.
