Interesting to see 3 way in the car. So the 3" mid can fit in the tweeter location with a little custom work? Interesting.

That 2" mid section slightly behind the front seats, cant that be dremeled a little to fit the 3" mid there as well and possibly use the speakers grille if need be?

never heard the krx2, but alot of midrange comes out of that little 3" mid

also my e46 already had the wiring for a 3-way, so why not hehe

also the krx3 has more crossover settings, which is very useful for balancing the sound

Mspeed,

How is the sound and the tweeters coming along, are you thinking of aiming them differently ? Does the drivers side with the cavity sound a little better than the one on the passengers side? How deep is that JL subwoofer? RMS?

Thanks.

im using an audison LRx 4.1, it puts 130w into L/R, 500w into the sub

very happy with the sub, it produces more bass than I will ever need. it sounds clean, deep and very natural.. most importantly blends extremely well

focals could be better for the price.. maybe its the stock head unit thats holding me back..

I havent tried it playing with the tweeter alignment, but they are aimed right at my face so i have them at -6db on the crossover

3" midrange - had to dreml some of the plastic, used the included enclosure face as an adapter. this was really tight. probably 1mm left of room. just enough to squeeze a layer of dynamat

tweeter- no room in the stock location, or to flush mount to the sail panel. used the included enclosure pods and mounted it to the sail panel

woofer - i spent 4 hours trying to get this ridiculously huge woofer (with a magnet nearly the same diamater as the woofer) to fit by trimming the door and creating MDF rings. This didnt work, there isnt much space to be had on the coupe since the window glide is right behind it. mounted it to the outside and it fits without any cutting

I would love to see the pictures. I am doubting to buy this set of focal speaker for my e-46
