Question Bimmian Fog Housings - M3

So I bought these bimmain fog housings from jlevi for my 01 M3 in hopes of replacing my fog light lenses as they have become pitted.

They appear not to fit my car. The aiming screw prevents them from passing into the bumper.

Anyone have a similar experience?

----> Again, this question is specific to M3s. <----

I ended up returning the Bimmian fogs. Nick at Jlevi gave me excellent service on the return. Thanks

did you try mounting the housing from the back of the bumper (from the wheel well)?

I have an M3 rep bumper and I tried to remove mine to change the bulb but could not get the housing out through the front and had to go through the back. I wonder if that would work?

ya I read you can go in through the wheel well in other cars. It comes out cleanly through the front in the M car, and I didnt want to hassle with removing splash sheilds and all that.

Here is how it comes out of an M3 front, really easy. 1 8mm bolt, thats it.

Hi Micah,

I wish you had given me a chance to respond to your email before posting but I did have a chance to run this by Bimmian. It looks like due to the larger adjuster on these fogs, you do have to either dismount the fog duct to slide them in place or go through the wheel well. I was certainly not aware of this with the installation but if you prefer to send them back for a full refund, that is not a problem. I will send you a prepaid shipping label to send them back for a refund. Shoot me back an email when you can.

Nick, I meant nothing bad on you guys. My experiences with Jlevi have been positive.

You guys cant possibly know everything about everything you sell. I understand that its a manufacturing issue, not a reseller problem.

I posted more for a double check of what I was shipped and for others information. You all have been responsive and helpful resolving this, and that is very much appreciated.

Got the RMA number and label (above and beyond on this point), its on its way.

Received Helix brand fogs, OEM fitment minus the rings. Rings could be trimmed to fit, but I just reused the old ones. Due to the hassle with the Bimmian fogs, I think the Helix was a better fit. Helix isnt the OEM part, different glass, but they were 90 bucks shipped. Get what you pay for. Quality may be an issue, so I think I may reuse my OEM sockets and just use the aftermarket glass/housing. To do it again, Id just get the OEM.
