That report by Gizmodo is plain wrong.
It may be true that Norway is out of butter. It's also true that price of butter shot up.
But it's not because of a fad diet. It's because they passed a tax increase on certain products that they've deemed "unhealthy" or that causes obesity.
That was reported a few weeks ago on NPR.
