What is the best oil to do an oil change in 2000 bmw?

I've been going to jiffy lube but paying for the best oil they have there. My mechanic said I should use "Pintosin" oil.

What is the best oil to get for my 2000 bmw 323ci? It was 180,000 miles on it.

Thank you.

I'd suggest any LL-01 approved oil. I just bought some Castrol Edge 0w-40 for my next change, FWIW.

I have always used Mobil 1. It meets LL-01 standards, it's cheap, and you can get it anywhere.

Well, it used to, but doesn't anymore.

I switched to Castrol 0W-40 (LL01), and my oil consumption went way down.

Don't trust Jiffy Lube, they're known to scam people claiming to do oil changes and filter changes when in reality they didn't do squat.

That's when you are lucky. It's when they actually do something that they can cause the most damage.

Fan of AMSOIL products. The 5W40 Euro Improved ESP has BMW LL-04 approval. I'd use the 5W40 or 0W40 Euro Classic ESP.

My 1st BMW I used nothing but redline and put 400K on the car and never had a motor/engine trouble, yes had other issues but nothing at all with the motor. Now I been using Mobile 1 and it really keeps the motor clean.

I can +1 that. I recently did my Vanos seals and when I removed the valve cover I was presented with an immaculate valve train. It looked like a brand new engine.

Thread closed. OP, please search as this has been discussed numerous times and stop going to Jiffy Lube if you care about your car. Buy the oil yourself, get the Mann filters from one of the sponsors and pay $20 for the oil change at a euro specific shop
