My Ride: 2004 325CI vert
Is the vert trunk narrower than the coupe?

A while ago I bought an M3 type trunk lid lip type spoiler off eBay. The paint match was perfect for my 2004 325Ci. I am having my local body shop buff out my paint tomorrow and I was going to have them put on the spoiler. It goes on with 3M tape with no drilling.

Well, like an idiot, I never double checked the fitment because my car was stored for the winter. The spoiler I received is too long and hangs past the trunk about a quarter inch on each side even when curved to follow the rear edge of the trunk lid

It's my fault for not checking this over when I received it but it was only 60 bucks or so, and I am actually pretty impressed with the quality except for the fitment. I double checked the listing and my car does come up as fitting the spoiler as a 2004 325Ci. However, when I look closer at the original ad, it says it fits "coupes". I think they also made a coupe in 2004 with the 325Ci designator. So... Is the coupe trunk wider? I don't want to pay for another one from a different source if it won't fit my car.

The coupe trunk is a different size, slightly wider I believe. It will fit on your car though, with just a slight overhang.

Some E46s came with spoilers stock from the dealer.

I disagree, the spoiler makes the car. I have received many compliments since I put mine on.
