E92 M3 wheels on an E46?

My friend who was graciously given an 08 M3 for his second car(17yr old) wants new wheels for his M3. I was pretty much the reason he bought BMW instead of Nissan or Infiniti. So when he buys his new wheels I'll get the stocks for free. Any idea if they will fit a pre-facelift e46 330Ci?

Not likely. E46-M fitment didn't work on non-M cars so I be suprised if E92-M did.

edit: 17 in a 414 hp sports car huh? That's just comically bad judgment on the parent's part regardless of how much money they have.

edit: 17 huh? I bet his insurance is about as high as the payment
And even so, I bet the same people who gave him the car are covering his payments as well.

He's probably the most calm driver though. Not saying he wont open it up and be a stupid teenage driver(i know he will eventually, its a matter of time), but I was the only one outside his dad to drive the car, and I was the only one after the break in period to rev it out.

And thanks for the info.

Nope, the wheels will not fit. Width wise they work, but the offset is much too small, meaning they will pop out from the side of your car.

For future reference, M3 wheel specs:

Style 219
Front: 8.5x18 Offset:29mm
Rear: 9.5x18 Offset:23mm

Style 220
Front: 8.5x19 Offset:29mm
Rear: 9.5x19 Offset:23mm

Sorry they will not fit! Even on the e46 M3, the e92 rears wont fit apparently...so no luck for you!

I'm presuming (maybe wrongly) that the wheels are 19's....they could be
sold to someone who has 18's on their new M3.

This guys got it right. Either buy new rims after you sell them or mod your car with the cash. Thats what id do.
