Group Buy: Jorg Gray JGC6500 Chronograph (Obama's watch)

Anyone interested in getting this chronograph? It's not possible to purchase this watch individually because its only sold to the public in bulk (12 or more). Obama's watch was given to him by his Secret Service detail for his 47th birthday and it features a custom designed logo. The watch can be purchased at the Secret Service employee store, but I doubt anyone here is in the service so I'm looking for a group buy.

The prices are as follows:

Qty Price
12 - 24 $180.95
25 - 49 $177.95
50 - 99 $175.95
100 - 249 $173.95
250+ $171.95
(5a)

If enough people are interested, we have to decide on a logo. I'm pushing for the secret service logo just for kicks and giggles but im open for suggestions. I see this chronograph as an affordable daily wearer. Anyone interested post up here.

Found this on askmen.com:

The watch of the United States Secret Service, the JGC6500 chronograph is an oversize, 47 mm stainless steel chronograph with a screw-down case back and is water tight to 150 meters. The domed crystal is plastic, but what sits below is sheer simplicity. The chronograph's functions are powered by the OS20 movement from Japan. The left sub-dial tracks minutes, the low center sub-dial tracks seconds, while the right sub-dial serves as a 24-hour clock that's perfect for international travel. The date window rests at an angle between the four- and the five-hour positions. The black strap is Italian Buffalo leather.

Edit: there is a comment that says the watch is actually 41mm. Hmm...time to do some more investigation

I'm pretty sure its 44mm. From the pictures, I have the same sized wrist as Obama and I'm wearing a 44mm and its about the same size as the one pictured on his wrist.

found this on an ebay listing:

Measurements -- 41 millimeters across the dial not counting the crown; 47 millimeters from top of top lug to bottom of bottom lug; thickness of 13.5 millimeters (from case-back to top of domed crustal; 22 millimeters between the lugs.

I'm not really familiar with watch sizing but I have girly wrists like Obama and it looks like a good fit

it is Japanese movement. compared to swiss, its not as good. Movement is probably as good as a Timex watch, which also has Japanese movement.

41mm is very conservative in size. Your average Rolex is 40mm.

For reference, this is a 45.5mm watch on a 7.25" wrist.
