new lights?

Hey
I just recently bought a 2001 black 330ci coupe sport and i love her
but I would really like angel eyes. i've been doing some searching on the forum, but would like some straight forward direction. can i just buy angel eyes and install them? or do i have to buy projector46 headlights...
also, to black out the housing, do i just use matte black spray paint???

thanks in advance

yes. I believe that you have to bake the headlights to install the angel eyes for coupes.

to black out the housing, do i just use matte black spray paint???

yes

You don't need to bake anything. The information above was wrong.

You can install the angel eyes in halogen headlights.....

You can just use black spray paint when you take the headlights apart and paint the headlight trim......

Search around the forum, you can see plenty of angel eyes installed on halogen headlights.....

PM me if you have anymore questions

No difference in the install. For the chromiums, you will just have a ballast......

Here is the same product for cheaper.......

If you select standard.....that will be the 6k output you need....

For a wiring harness, just select wiring harness

"Facelift" Coupes and Convertibles built from 2004 to 2006 do have the lenses glued to the housing. The housings must be baked to soften the glue to remove the lense.

Pre-facelift Coupes like the OP's 2001, all E46 Sedans, Wagons, and all M3's have lenses that clip on using no glue.

You may want to consider waiting until you can afford LED Angel Eyes as they are much more reliable than CCFLs over time.

The lowest price = http://www.khoalty.com/AngelEyes.html

You can go with one of our MyCarr Kits to retrofit angel eyes into your existing headlights.

The lowest price doesn't buy you the best quality:

The MyCarr CCFL Kit would be your best solution. It's $70 for the full setup and includes everything you need for the install including all 4 halos, ballasts and wiring harness. We also provide a full installation guide on our site for all of our customers

You want the CCFL with the Chrome backing, that's why you are asking about the Chromium. It prevents the typical bleed through on the rings.

Atlanta does get cold occasionally, but you'll be happiest with Chromiums.

Chromiums are built with CCFL
Orion V2 are built with the highest specific output LED out there.
