Warranty Transfer

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of purchasing an E46 M3 from another state. It has extended factory warranty which will finish in 2010. I was told that the warranty is nationwide regardless of which state your in.

I was wondering if there is any paperwork involved or I can just go ahead and make a warranty claim at my local BMW dealer.

Much appreciated. Thanks.

I would guess it based on your VIN number, they type that in the system and it will tell them how much service is left etc.
If in doubt call up BMW aus they will help u out

i always thought that extende warranty wasnt transferable if you buy the car privately.
