I noticed that to when I just upgraded to a set of bulbs that had more LEDs and put out more light. Scraping it off would be very tedious. It's annoying because it does block light, but my LEDs are so bright it lights up the road still.

has anyone tried pointing the LEDs up into the reflecting part? I'd be interested to see how that looks as well.

You could try rubbing alcohol on the black portion also and see what happens.

I just took dremel and grinded that black part.. and it looks a lot better.

I would say 2x brighter than what it was,,

so yeah.. I was gonna get it cleaned and do it, but since I just got it washed yesterday and daybefore... I don't see point of using another 10 bux to car wash.....: (

But definitely, it is a lot brighter..

I was wondering the same thing. I tried scraping it off my old covers but it made it look ugly. I have a brand new set of covers and i've been meaning to try some kind of chemical but forgot

Thx for the tip, I used my dremel also. But instead of taking off all the black I only took off 1/2. Leaving the portion towards the street black, this way the LED does not glare out past my bumper as much!

They look great...thanks again OP
