Gun Gurus!

Due to recent crimes in my city, friends cars got broken into, houses got broken into, and shootings, I went around searching for a shotgun. I would have bought a handgun but I'm not yet 21 so I went with a shotgun. Searched around and saw that all the prices have went up. Went to a local gun store where ARs were going for 2K and reg Benelli Novas were going for 400-500, Remingtons were going for atleast the same price. But I found a Nova for $350 ( non tatical, 28" barrel) so I picked that up. Now the question is what modifications could I do to it? I read the the stock cannot be modified so a pistol grip is out of the question, and plus this gun would be for bird hunting also.

you can get a shorter barrel, and if it's available a extended mag tube. I'm not familiar with that shotgun specifically, but all of my "defense shotguns" have short barrels and extended mag tubes. I don't know why you wouldn't be able to change the stock though. but again not familiar with that particular model. I'm a bug fan of the speed feed stocks, extra shell storage. I also like putting a side saddle on for extra shells.

ya i looked into those because they are easier to modify, but they were either all sold out or in the $500-600 range.

^^You're not looking hard enough

Be patient, keep looking. Those two are by far the best bang-for-your-buck shotguns.

I agree, I have a Remington 870 which I bought new from Big 5 Sportings goods for $300.00.

Get a flashlight mount and flashlight. Definitely a must have item if someone breaks in at night. Should be around 15 bucks for the mount and a good LED flashlight which is around 60 bucks. https://www.fenix-store.com/index.php?cPath=22 Fenix makes great flashlights and they are a lot cheaper than Surefire.

Yeah they screw down to fit most guns, and all the aftermarket stuff caters to mossberg and Remington

I don't know if that is going to work for yours, since you have a ribbed barrel (pic shows it mounted on a non-ribbed). It looks like it may compensate for it a bit since it is squared off at the top. Might be worth a shot and return it if it doesn't work out.
