235/55/17 tires fit on a 330ci?
There are some 17 inch 330xi rims with 235 55 17 snow tires on craigslist for a good price. The seller says he had these on a '10 x3 and they won't fit on my 330ci. Is he correct?
They are stock rims so probably 17x8 and 40 mm offset? Thanks!

He's correct. That's a big size increase, almost guaranteed to rub even on stock suspension.
225/45-17 has a 25.0" overall diameter, 235/55-17 has a 27.2" OD, that's an 8.8% increase in OD. |

bump. Can anyone confirm whether this size will fit without rubbing? I got a great price on a set of these, but I think they came off a seven series and frankly they look like truck tires. Should I resell or try my luck and throw them on?
